~I was quite interested in how Mary became famous after leaving Laban's school, so I did some research and this is what I found out~
In the same year as leaving Laban's school Wigman did her first professional solo performance, in Berlin, Germany. After her performance in Berlin concerts in Berman, Hanover followed; these few concerts were poorly received. But later that year Mary won over audiences and critics in Hamburg, Zurich and Dresden, her reputation began to be established. By the mid 1920's Mary Wigam was widely known and became known as a leading person toward expressionism dance.
