~Today I found out that Mary Wigman opened a school! I was fascinated and found out more to tell you all about it~
In 1920 Mary opened her own school in Dresden, this school soon became the focal point of German modern dance. At her school she shared her knowledge by training dancers and also experimenting with dance pieces. Mary created a dance troupe; among this troupe were people like Holm, Georgi, Palucca, Wall, and Kreutzberg. The troupe made its first apperance in 1923, during years coming she toured alone with her troupe. Mary made her London debut in 1928 and her triumphant U.S debut in 1930. Followed two more tours in the U.S between 1931 and 1933.
